The Oakland Post

A sophomore at Oakland, Lauren Reid is currently a staff reporter at The Oakland Post.

She joined the staff in January of 2020 and is pursuing a bachelor’s in public relations and strategic communication with an English minor. Lauren aspires to work in sports PR or journalism one day and is grateful for the opportunity to develop her skills as a reporter.

Lauren has always loved to write and after taking her first journalism class in high school, she discovered her love for news-writing. Currently, she writes for the newspaper’s campus section that focuses on OU related events and current news. In her free time, Lauren loves hanging out with her family and pets, eating Noodles and Company and watching Red Wings hockey.
