Rachel Yim, Science & Technology Reporter

Rachel is a rising junior majoring in biomedical sciences. She joined the Oakland Post as a reporter in her freshman year, fall 2019. At OU, she's a member of the Honors College, Aspiring Surgeons and treasurer for the Health Disparities Awareness club. She aspires to become a physician one day and contribute as much help as she could provide in the field of medicine. After getting her bachelor’s degree at OU, she plans on attending medical school to further her education and knowledge in the field.

Outside of academics, Rachel loves playing tennis, baking and traveling. While she pursues a career in medicine, she also loves the field of journalism. From interviewing people from diverse fields to writing based on the stories each individual provides, this field has shown Rachel a variety of interesting features.
