Noora Neiroukh, Photographer

Hi, I’m Noora! I am a junior at OU majoring in Biomedical Sciences and minoring in Spanish. I have been interested in photography ever since I was 11 years old, when I started taking travel pictures with my dad’s Canon camera. After getting featured on the BBC News “In-Pictures” page a few years ago, I was inspired to buy my own camera and experiment with various aspects of photography. I joined the Oakland Post as a photographer in Winter of 2021 and love doing everything from portraits to sports photography.

Elsewhere on campus, I am the Vice President of the Growing Grizzlies, formerly known as the Student Organic Farmers, and love doing photography for the campus farm. When I am not taking pictures, you can find me gardening (and complaining about the insects outside), trying out new recipes, painting, reading, or getting involved on campus and in the community. I am pursuing a career in medicine and hope to have a side business in photography one day, taking pictures of wildlife and traveling around the world.
