A senior studying International Relations and History, Trafelet is a Senior Reporter with the Oakland Post. He is firmly committed to bettering his world-view through confronting perspectives that oppose his own, and works to maintain the distinction between objective news reporting and opinion writing.
Having studied history, and domestic and international politics extensively, he writes to help others gain a more complete understanding of the world's political occurrences. Specifically, he hopes to expose others to news and perspectives that constructively challenge what they think and believe.
Outside of the Post, Trafelet enjoys keeping up with the news, working out, the outdoors and studying topics such as Nazi Germany, Terrorism and violent conflict. He aspires to protect his country in the intelligence sector post-graduation.
