Woman sexually assaulted: A 30-year-old Brighton woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown male in the area of Paddock and Pike Street in Pontiac on July 1, according to reports. The assault occurred after the victim was separated from her friends and accepted a ride from a stranger. The Oakland Country Sheriff transported the victim to McLaren Hospital for treatment. The suspect is still at large.

Man, 70, missing from group home: The Oakland County Sheriff responded to a report placed by the Grovecrest Assisted Living Facility that a 70-year-old male resident had gone missing. The male is reported to have been sighted walking away from the facility located in the 100 block of Prall Street at 10:45 a.m. on June 30. He was found around 4 p.m. Monday in the area of Orchard Lake and 15 Mile roads. The man was uninjured and in good condition.

Larceny and felonious assault: The Oakland County Sheriff’s office responded to larceny and felonious assault in the 400 block of W. Hopkins in Pontiac on July 1. The victim reported he had been confronted and had chased two suspects stealing items from his vehicle. As the victim pursued the suspects, one of them turned and fired two rounds in his direction, he said. The suspects are still on the loose.

Armed robbery: The Oakland County Sheriff’s office responded to a call that two victims had been robbed at gunpoint after leaving Tonic nightclub on the night of July 1. The two victims were approached by two unknown armed suspects who demanded the victims give them “everything they had”. Both victims were “pistol whipped” by the suspects who fled on foot through an alley with one of the victims’ wallet, the reports stated.

Felonious assault: The Oakland County Sheriff responded to a reported stabbing on the 60 block of Newberry on June 25. Upon arrival, the victim was found suffering from a stab wound to his right arm. According to police, the girlfriend of the victim is responsible. The assault occurred when the victim and his girlfriend were arguing over money. During the argument, the girlfriend retrieved a kitchen knife and slashed the victim. The victim was transported to McLaren Hospital for treatment.

ROCHESTER HILLS

Home invasion: The Oakland County Sheriff’s office responded to a in-progress home invasion, on July 1, in the 300 block of Tourangeau in Rochester Hills. The complainant reported hearing someone break into her home. Deputies arrived on the scene and observed a female exit the porch area and began running from the home. Deputies gave chase and were able to apprehend the female. The homeowner indicated that nothing had been stolen from the home.

Detroit woman accused of leaving dog in car for 54 minutes: Troy Police Officers issued a citation for “Animal Neglect” to a Detroit female after it was determined that she left her dog inside her vehicle for a minimum of 54 minutes in 95 degree weather. The dog, was found panting heavily and drooling, had been left with a small cup of water and the window was a quarter of the way down.

Felonious assault: Troy Police Officers responded to a report of a felonious assault in the 3000 block of Cedar Crest on June 27. The complainants reported to the officers that while they were in a attached garage of the home, several males confronted them. One of the men charged the complaints while holding a knife. The complainants were able to shut the garage door before being harmed. The aggressors damaged the garage door and the roof of a car that was parked in the driveway before fleeing the scene. The complainants informed police that they had been involved with the aggressors in a long standing dispute.

K-2 Spice compliance checks in Troy, Auburn Hills, and Bloomfield Township: Troy Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit, consisting of officers from Troy, Auburn Hill and Bloomfield Township, conducted undercover compliance checks at five establishments in each city, on July 1. Undercover officers attempted to purchased K-2 spice and other banned substances. Many of the establishments visited had previously displayed K-2 spice for sale. Officers did not find, nor were able to purchase, any illegal substances from any of the establishments.
