Breaking News: Safety alert closes campus

Oakland University’s campus is closed Sunday, April 13 and Monday, April 14 following a safety alert. Campus will reopen Tuesday, April 15 at 7 a.m.

Threatening graffiti messages were found in three men’s restrooms in O’Dowd Hall, Kresge Library and the Oakland Center.

An e-mail was sent to students Saturday alerting them of one message and campus was shut down upon discovering two additional threatening messages.

All classes and campus events are cancelled, however residential facilities will remain open with extra patrols from OUPD.
