Police seek assistance in search for missing OU student

The Farmington Hills Police Department has asked for public assistance in its search for Oakland University student Wayne Pollard.

Pollard, 22, was on campus late Thursday night and has not been seen since then, police said.

According to a press release issued by the police department, “it is believed Mr. Pollard spent the night in a Waterford area hotel.”

A warning signal was sent when Pollard did not appear at work Friday morning. Pollard is 5′ 7″ tall and weighs around 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

Pollard drives a silver 2001 Chevrolet Impala four-door with Michigan license plate BRX4638, the release said. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie from Aeropostale, blue jeans and tennis shoes.

A Facebook group created to aid in the search for Pollard has about 250 members.

The Facebook group now has over 500 members. A prayer meeting has also been scheduled for tonight at the Pollard family’s home.

Pollard has reportedly been found, according to posts made by long-time neighbor Cassandra Fossen on Facebook.
