Shots fired into home

On Sept. 22 at 11 p.m., police responded to shots fired in the 600 block of Newman Lane. Deputies spoke with a victim who had two bullets go through her home. Outside her home, 15 shell casings were found. There were no witnesses or suspects, and the case was turned over to detectives.

Bartender claims he was robbed

Police responded to a robbery at Tapper’s Pub Eatery and Spirits in the 800 block of Auburn Road Sept. 24 at approximately 12:30 a.m. The bartender said he was counting cash from the register when a male, approximately 30 years old with a thin goatee, approached with his hand in his pocket, saying he only wanted the money. The bartender thought the man may have had a gun, so he stepped back. The suspect took the money and left. There was no gun seen and over $1000 was taken. K-9 Deputies attempted to locate the man but were unsuccessful. There were no other patrons in the bar.

Intoxicated driver involved in a rollover accident

Troy police were dispatched to a one-car rollover accident on Rochester and Wattles Sept. 23 at approximately 5:30 a.m. When officers arrived they spoke to the driver, a 21-year-old Royal Oak resident, who admitted drinking alcohol and thought he was on 12 Mile. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A blood test was administered, and charges are pending.
