Ruby Hernandez, Marketing Director
Ruby is a senior majoring in Communications. She joined The Oakland Post in 2025, reporting on campus news and serving as Marketing Assistant. She now serves as Marketing Director, leading the Marketing Team and ensuring readers see all the behind-the-scenes content and highlights they want on the Oakland Post’s social media channels.
Ruby enjoys covering stories about international education, creating fun reels and TikToks, and showcasing Oakland Post staff on social platforms.
Outside of The Oakland Post, Ruby is President of Women in Communication and works with the Global Engagement Office. She loves traveling and encourages students to study abroad—she spent a semester in Australia herself. Her favorite things include friends, family, travel, and jewelry.
