Mina Fuqua is the chief copy editor of The Oakland Post. She ensures that articles are written in accordance with the AP Stylebook. Additionally, she is responsible for creating pages and overseeing all content production.

Currently approaching her senior year, Fuqua has been with The Post since March 2017. Her interest in journalism formed during her early years of high school when she joined The Chariot, Troy High School’s student newspaper, as a reporter.

In her spare time, Fuqua loves researching astrology. In fact, upon meeting her, one of the first questions she’ll ask is, “When’s your birthday?” Additionally, she enjoys researching historical events, doing makeup and cooking for friends and family.

Pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in communication with a minor in Chinese language, Fuqua hopes to land an opportunity teaching English in China after she graduates in May 2020.
