Kay Felder invited to NBA Draft Combine

Kay Felder is going to Chicago. The former Oakland point guard has been invited to the 2016 NBA Draft Combine, multiple outlets reported Saturday. The combine runs May 11-15.

This is step three in Felder’s departure from college basketball. First he declared for the draft. Then he hired agents, making his exit from Golden Grizzly athletics final.

Now he’s off with about 60 other prospects to go through a series of physical tests and showcase himself for representatives of NBA teams. This notwithstanding his being number 69 on DraftExpress’s top-100.

Back in early April, after hiring agents Mike Silverman and Brandon Grier of Athlete Management Group, Felder said he knew he’d be invited to the combine. Turns out he was right.

The draft on June 23 might reveal what else Felder was correct about.
