Entertainment — Leno bringing a new “Plan” to Detroit

The gloomy economy, like the weather, has kept many OU students wrapped in Snuggies and left to browse Hulu.com as a source of free entertainment. The glorious days of going to a local movie theater to see every blockbuster (OK, we know you saw “Watchmen”) or attending every Pistons game at the Palace seem long gone.
But “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno has Michigan’s solution. (Yeah, we were bummed too when we found out it wasn’t Conan O’Brien.) On Monday’s episode of “The Tonight Show” Leno announced his plan to help save the economy — telling jokes.
Leno, a car aficionado, will lend his support the Motor City by giving a free show at the Palace of Auburn Hills on April 7. The show, “Jay’s Comedy Stimulus Plan,” will be free of charge and include free parking and refreshments.
According to NBC.com, tickets will be available at the Palace box office beginning at 10 a.m. next Monday, March 16. A photo I.D. is required to obtain tickets,,and there is a limit of four tickets per person.
They say nothing in life is free, but our guess is that you’ll be paying for the show in some capacity.
