Students tour Romney’s Michigan campaign bus
On Sept. 12, students were given the opportunity to tour one of five campaign buses used by Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney.
“This is (one of) Mitt Romney’s actual bus(es) he rides in,” said Max Rohtbart, a member of students for Romney.
Students from around campus were drawn to the bus and stopped by to view it.
“I saw the Romney bus while I was eating lunch and had to come take a look,” said Adam Mata, a freshmen majoring in computer science.
Complete with a lounge area, three TV’s, a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, the bus is used by Romney while touring Michigan.
“(It) is a very, very nice bus,” Mata said.
With 54 days until the presidential election remaining, students are looking forward to the potential impact this
election will have on the country.
“We have a real chance to change America in this next election,” said Sam Mariuz, a senior majoring in political science with a concentration in criminal justice.
When asked if Romney will hold a rally on campus Rohtbart said, “I think there is always a possibility. Oakland County is a very important county.”
