Volleyball loses two straight at home

Friday night, the Oakland University Women’s Volleyball team took on Summit League opponent, North Dakota State University at the O’rena. The Golden Grizzlies fell to the NDSU Bison in five sets, losing four.

Oakland’s record dropped to (9-7) overall and (2-3) in the conference.

The Grizzlies fell behind early, losing the first two sets by scores of (25-20) and (25-19).  The team had a disappointing attack average in the opening sets, attacking at 23-percent efficiency rate.

Beam said, “We need to cut down on the highs and lows.  We need to find a way as a team to level out”.

Last night, Golden Grizzlies dropped their second straight home match, this time to the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits.

Oakland continued its up-and-down performance by coming back from down both (1-0) and (2-1) to force a 5th set.  They were defeated in the final set by score of (15-9).
