After doing so, and having great success, they then meet the Haynes sisters (Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen) performing at a Miami nightclub.

Phil and Judy (Vera Ellen) then come up with a plan to set-up Bob and Betty (Rosemary Clooney), the workaholics of the two duos. While traveling to Vermont the four of them stay at the lodge of Bob and Phil’s admired general from the army. After realizing the financial struggles of their former general, the four of them decide to bring their stage shows to the general’s lodge in attempt to acquire more guests.
