The 18th annual Motor City Tattoo Expo will be hosted Feb. 22 to 24 at the Detroit Marriott in the Renaissance Center.

The event will host artists, vendors and seminars for tattoo enthusiasts to gain information on need-to-know tattoo basics and beyond.

Tattoo contests will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A $10 registration fee is required to participate. Tattoos will be judged on a number of criteria; categories include best full arm sleeve, most patriotic a most realistic.

Hours are Friday from noon to 11:00 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
