Cranbrook House Series tickets go on sale

New stories for the winter and spring season are coming to Cranbrook, with tickets now on sale. Upcoming events include “Celebrating Women’s History Month at Cranbrook House: ‘Women in Art’”

The events, which highlight women’s roles in building the Cranbrook House  take place March 14 at 11 a.m., as well as ‘A Race Through Time,’ May 2 at 11 a.m., spotlighting the hats from the Kentucky derby.  For more information, visit www.housegardens.cranbrook.edu.

Auditions held for ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’

Starlight Theater will hold auditions for the play, “Cheaper by the Dozen,” on Thursday, March 7 or Saturday, March 9. Gaelic Lead Painting of the Shamrocks

The Gaelic League will meet at March 8 at 11:00 a.m. on Mich. Ave and 6th street in Detroit for the annual painting of the shamrocks on the parade route, for a press party with Maid of Erin, Grand Marshall and The United Irish Societies Officers.

Boogie Bowl to strike out homelessness

The fifth annual “Boogie Bowl: Striking out homelessness” disco fundraiser will be hosted Friday, March 8, beginning at 7 p.m. at Thunderbird Lanes. Held at 400 W. Maple Rd. in Troy, from 8 to 11 p.m., guests 21 and over will receive three games of bowling, shoe rental, complimentary pizza and soft drinks. Tickets are $35 for bowlers, $15 for non-bowlers, with proceeds going towards programs and services for homeless men, women and children.  For more information, visit www.gracecentersofhope.org
