Travis Bader named Mid-Major All-American

Junior guard Travis Bader was named to the Lou Henson All-America team, announced by CollegeInsider.com Monday. The award recognizes the 25 top mid-major players in the country.

Bader led the nation with 139 3-pointers, an Oakland University and Summit League record. He finished the season at 22.1 points per game, ranking him fifth in the nation in scoring average. This is the first Mid-Major All-American honor for the Okemos, Mich., native.

After breaking the all-time school record with 357 three-pointers made, Bader is now exactly 100 three-pointers shy of former Duke star J.J. Redick who posted an NCAA record 457 threes in his college career.

The Lou Henson Award will be given to the nation’s top mid-major player in Atlanta at the Final Four.
