A city for sale

If you could waste money, just throw it away, what would you do with it?

Or maybe I should ask, where would you go with it?

Some people choose to go to Las Vegas. I happened to be in the city not to waste money, but to visit my mother. We stayed in a middle of the road hotel (not Casers’ palace, but certainly not a motel six). Just walking in you notice that it is not just a hotel. Hotels in Vegas are casinos, stores, restaurants, almost everything you could ever need. I think it is funny because you go to explore, but you really do not need to leave the hotel building.

Of course their goal is to get as much money from you as possible. At Vegas hotels, free Wi-Fi is unheard of. It costs 10 dollars a day per device. Continental breakfasts are also notably absent, but many restaurants are present. Our particular hotel had a Chinese restaurant, a pizzeria, a Subway, and a buffet. We ate at the buffet twice, once for dinner and then for breakfast. Both meals were awful, the food was probably made from the cheapest ingredients possible.

Despite all of this, I was still in Vegas! We did lots of sight seeing that was beautiful. “Circus Circus” is an interesting place. It is a casino (of course), but it also is largely a kid’s area. They have an amusement park inside and carnival games. There is amazing malls everywhere. “Fashion Show” has a Lush, Topshop, amazing places that you do not see in Michigan.

Even if you are under 21, try to travel out to Vegas. You will not be distracted by the alcohol or gambling.
