Here’s Kunselman’s job summary, as stated by the university:

Reporting directly to the President and in partnership with the Senior Vice
President for Academic Affairs and Provost and other senior cabinet-level
leadership, the COO is responsible for the planning and day-to-day
management of all financial, human resource, and administrative functions of
the University. The COO will participate in envisioning and shaping a culture of
excellence and innovation in support of Oakland University’s mission,
aspirations, and strategic goals.

The COO is responsible for developing and implementing campus business and
administrative policies and procedures consistent with the University’s Offices of
the President and the Board of Trustees; implementing best practices and timely
business processes to enhance the administrative and fiscal services of the
University; and developing University level annual and long range goals
consistent with the strategic plan. The COO serves as a member of the
President’s Cabinet and works collaboratively with other executives, students,
faculty, and staff, as well as the University’s external constituents.
