O’hara is a junior majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Speech Language Pathology. She joined The Post in the fall of 2025 after discovering they had openings for page designers, thanks to her best friend Mati. She has always loved design and was supervising page editor for her high school newspaper, The Tower. 

She is very interested in the brain and its functions, as well as language and its differences. She chose her major after taking a class about language and the brain her sophomore year realizing how much she loved language and how children learn it. O’hara has always been a kind and helpful person which led her to choose her minor in SLP. This field includes working with children that have difficulty speaking or pronouncing words and or sounds. She believes that this is the perfect career for her because not only does she get to work with language and speech, she gets to help children, or adults, feel more confident.  

O’hara does not have much free time, as she is taking several classes and also working two jobs. When she is not busy, or choosing to disregard her homework, she enjoys reading and hanging out with her new friends. She is excited for what this year will bring in new friendships and more experience in the field she will pursue.
