Oakland University drag show celebrates 13th year with Mardi Gras flair
The GSA hosted the 13th annual drag show in the Banquet Rooms on April 14th. Three professional performers joined students for the performances.
The performance theme this year was “Mardi Gras”, and every audience member walked in with a set of beads.
Hershae Chocolate returned as the MC, bringing humor and her flirtatious attitude to the stage. She is a former America’s Got Talent contestant and has been most recently crowned “Miss Queen Cities”.
A noteworthy point of the night was when Jean Ann Miller took the stage, playing as “Stacy’s Mom” for Morgan Alexander’s performance of the titular song.
In addition to the show itself, the new E-Board of the GSA was revealed, announcing that Jas Semma would be returning as GSA president next year.
