Sebastien Bellin back in U.S., took first step
A CBS News video and GoFundMe update report that former Oakland men’s basketball player Sebastien Bellin, who was injured in the Brussels Airport attack in March, is back in the U.S. and has taken his first step since the injuries.
“I am very happy to update that Sebastien’s 6th and final surgery was very successful and he took his first step last week!” Danny Hagendorn wrote on the GoFundMe page. “He has officially begun his rehabilitation. Thank you for all your continued support and prayers.”
The CBS video shows Bellin, still in a wheelchair, reuniting with family at what appears to be Metro Airport. He then left for a two-week hospital stay, the video said.
Bellin attended Oakland from 1998-2000.
