Women of Lockerbie collect clothes for winter

Along with the production of “The Women of Lockerbie,” the cast and crew are setting up several events that co-inside with the play.

“Clothing from Lockerbie,” a winter clothing drive, is being held for the benefit of Grace Centers of Hope in Pontiac from now until Nov. 20.

In order to collaborate with the storyline of the play, women are gathering and washing clothes and returning them to families of victims of the Pan Am 103 accident.

According to Karen Sheridan, professor of theatre, donations are being collected in a bin in front of the Studio Theatre.

Donations can also be brought to Muriel in the Music, Theatre and Dance office.

Donations will be brought to the center in time for Thanksgiving.

Original playwright of “The Women of Lockerbie,” Deborah Brevoort, is coming visiting OU’s campus to speak to the community and public.

The event, which takes place Nov. 19 at noon in the Varner Studio Theatre, is free and open to everyone.

Brevoort will be speaking about her writing process for this play and have a question and answer session for students and the audience.
