Women’s Volleyball-

The Oakland University women’s volleyball team announced their spring 2014 schedule this week. The schedule is highlighted by a tournament with stops at Eastern Michigan and U of M. The team will open the tournament on March 22 in Maumee, Ohio at the Premier Volleyball Academy. The next weekend, March 29, Oakland will participate in Eastern Michigan’s Spring Tournament.

Men’s Baseball-

The Oakland Men’s baseball team played a three game series against Wright State over the weekend, with a fourth scheduled game cancelled due to weather. Unfortunately, Oakland was swept in the series, losing 5-4, 2-0, and 5-2. Another scheduled home games against Toledo and Kent State this week have been cancelled. Oakland is next scheduled to play Valparaiso at home at 3 pm on March 28.

Women’s Softball-

The Oakland University women’s softball team traveled to Wright State over the weekend for a scheduled three game series, although only two games were played. Wright State took both games, 7-1 and 3-0. The third game was cancelled due to inclement weather. Oakland is next scheduled to play Detroit at home on March 29.

Women’s Soccer-

The Grizzlies women’s soccer team announced their spring schedule with seven games this season. Highlighting the schedule is an April 6 matchup against the NWSL’s Chicago Red Stars on April 6. The first game is scheduled for March 27 at Ultimate Soccer against the Canadian club team, FC Dunham.

Women’s Tennis-

The Golden Grizzlies women’s tennis team battled the two Wisconsin Horizon League teams, splitting the series. The first match against Milwaukee resulted in a 5-2 loss. The next day finished with a 6-1 victory against Green Bay. Oakland will battle Youngstown State on March 29 at home.
