At the forum students, staff and faculty were invited to question Spaniolo. Topics covered included higher education funding, research, community engagement and global vision. Spaniolo, former president of University of Texas-Arlington, said that the university president needs to be an ambassador for external audiences and “fully engaged in the life of the campus, too.”
