Low-fat peanut butter banana smoothie

Valentine’s Day is officially behind us and it’s time to rid of all the calories and fat obtained from the dozens of candy hearts and boxes of chocolates.

It’s a given that many students have little to no time to make a healthy snack or breakfast with their busy lifestyles, but this easy peanut butter banana smoothie is delicious and healthy.

Instead of indulging in pancakes and waffles – if you even have time for that – blend these few ingredients together and take this healthy low-fat snack on the go. It will fit your busy lifestyle and will help you stay in shape for the summer months just around the corner.

 Here’s what you need:

  1. A frozen banana
  2. Low fat milk
  3. Peanut butter
  4. Greek yogurt- non-fat plain

 Instructions:

  1. Add 2 tbsp. of peanut butter into a blender
  2. Add 1/2 cup of the yogurt
  3. Add 1/2 cup of fat free milk
  4. Add a half the frozen banana (You may have to microwave it for 15 seconds if it is too frozen)
  5. Fill less than half of the blender with ice
  6. Blend together until mixture is right for you
  7. You may also add 1 scoop of protein powder
  8. Enjoy!
