Fruit-infused H2O on the go

Whether you’re running errands or sipping on these refreshing drinks throughout the school day, they are sure to give you the healthy benefits every student needs. They taste delicious and each ingredient has its own way of keeping your body healthy.

Here’s what you need:

  1. Oranges
  2. Limes
  3. Lemons
  4. Mint leaves
  5. Water bottles
  6. Strawberries
  7. Cucumbers
  8. Any other fruits/ ingredients you want

What to do:

  1. Wash all of the fruit and other ingredients
  2. Cut the fruit up so that it will fit in your water bottle
  3. Fill the water bottle less than half way with ice and water
  4. Add the fruit and ingredients
  5. Fill the rest of the bottle with ice and water

This time I chose to make two different water bottles. The first one is a more sweet and fruity combination filled with oranges, lemons and strawberries. The second is super refreshing, filled with lemons, limes, cucumbers and mint leaves.

Benefits of each of these ingredients:

Oranges: Lower cholesterol, reduce the risk of liver cancer and boost your heart health

Lemons: Promote weight loss and have many nervous system benefits

Limes: Great for digestion, constipation and heart disease

Mint leaves: Help get rid of pimples, nausea headaches and even depression, according to organicfacts.com

Cucumbers: Help with hangovers, hair, skin and are a great dose of vitamin B

Strawberries: Help burn fat and boost short-term memory
