World news: The truth behind the dress

The truth is nobody is 100 percent correct when it comes to the color of this bodycon dress.

You’ve probably heard a lot of recent talk about the newly-famous dress, or better yet, you were shown a picture of it and asked what color you think it is. Is it blue and black, or is it white and gold?

The controversial dress debate started by someone innocently posting a picture of it on Tumblr and asking what colors everyone saw on the dress. Many see black and blue while others swear the dress is white and gold.

The dress has now become a social media phenomenon and has everyone talking and picking sides as to what the actual color of the dress is.

The truth is nobody is 100 percent correct when it comes to the color of this bodycon dress.

There is actually a scientific explanation as to why people see the dress differently. So before you drive yourself crazy, understand there is a reason behind it all.

It’s about primal biology and the way human eyes and brains see color.

It has to do with the cones in your retinas – most of the time ninety-nine percent of the time people see the same colors, but with this particular dress it’s different, according to CNN.

One thing everyone can agree on? It was ugly anyway. Case closed.
