Oakland men’s basketball to play in Vegas 16 postseason tournament
The Oakland University men’s basketball team (21-11) will play in the first-ever Vegas 16 postseason tournament, as announced on Monday afternoon.
The tournament will take place March 28-30, with Oakland playing its first game at 9 p.m. ET against Towson University (20-12) of the Colonial Athletic Association. All games will air nationally on CBS.

The games will be played in the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Last Vegas, Nev. The tournament is single elimination and will feature eight teams, six of which accumulated 20 or more wins this season.
Head coach Greg Kampe said after the loss to Wright State in the semifinals of the Horizon League tournament on Monday, March 7 that the team was planning to play in the postseason. This will be the seventh postseason tournament the Golden Grizzlies have played in in the last eight years.
