A used car dealership has appeared on campus at the corner of Squirrel and Pioneer Roads, but that doesn’t mean Oakland University has started to sell cars.

Instead, the building is part of the set for an upcoming Warner Bros. thriller about high school students documenting the aftermath of a tornado. It is being directed by Steven Quale.

Though the movie is still yet to be named, some of the actors are listed on the film’s IMDb website. They include Richard Armitage, Jeremy Sumpter and Sarah Wayne Callies.

According to an article published in Rochester Patch, the movie began filming two weeks ago and will be on campus throughout August.

Oakland is no stranger to the big screen, as it recently lent Meadow Brook Hall to Transformers 3, which filmed in 2010.

The Oakland Post will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
