The Oakland Post

Lauren Karmo is the campus editor for The Oakland Post. She is responsible for producing content, helping reporters with their writing and editing the campus section.

A sophomore, Karmo recently joined The Post in the 2019-2020 school year to serve as the campus editor. She is pursuing a bachelor's in writing and rhetoric, with a double minor in advertising and graphic design. After college, she hopes to continue on in the journalism or advertising field or attend law school.

Her love of journalism began her sophomore year of high school where she wrote for her school's newspaper, The Talon. She soon became the sports editor there, and later transitioned into the role of editor-in-chief. Her freshman year of college, she took a break from journalism to explore different areas of study, but soon returned knowing it is a true passion of hers.
