Records continue to break for men’s and women’s track

The women’s track team continued to smash records last Saturday at the MichiganIntercollegiates held in Ann Arbor. School records were set by Sara Lieblein inthe 3000-meter (10:20.46), Kayla Doan in the mile (5:19.44) and JessicaFerguson in the 200-meter (27.67). Nine personal records were also set at themeet.

The men’s track team broke a Summit League record and two other school records lastSaturday at the Akron Open in Akron, Ohio. Jason Young’s 15:18.80 finish in the5000-meter was the fastest in the Summit League this season. Jason Bigelow(800-meter) and Zack Jones (3000-meter) set school records. Bigelow’s 1:54.47is fourth in the conference and Jones’ 8:35.81 mark is the third in the SummitLeague this season.
