During his brief time with the Oakland University track and field program, John Butler has built quite a resume. A junior in standing, Butler joined the track team as a walk-on last season.

The OU women’s lacrosse team got back on track with a 19-9 victory over Grand Valley State University on Saturday morning at Ultimate Soccer Arena in Pontiac.
Oakland played its first home games of the season last Friday, April 2, and came away with two victories, sweeping Concordia in a double-header. The Grizzlies (5-14 through April 5) held on to win the first game, 9-7, before trouncing Concordia in the nightcap (12-4).
The Oakland University softball team improved its record to 5-4 within the Summit League (13-22 overall) by taking two of three games in a series against Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis last week.
