The loss officially ends the season for the Golden Grizzly ladies, after a hot start to the season with wins over George Mason, America, Canisius, and then on the road at Niagara, they could not keep the momentum into Summit League play.

Oakland University’s fencing club competed in a national competition at Notre Dame University this past weekend. The competition featured a chance for fencers to compete in individual and team categories. The team ended their season strong by placing high in the rankings against other clubs and NCAA-ranked teams.

The men's and women's swimming and diving teams were awarded with Fall 2012 Scholar All America Team honors. Oakland track and field finished sixth at Summit League Championships. The OU men's baseball team has started the season 0-4 after a road trip to Maryland.

Travis Bader scored 27 points and tied a school record with 348 3-pointers made in his career. Corey Petros blocked the potential game-tying layup in overtime to help the Grizzlies to victory.

Freshman forward Olivia Nash ended the game with her eighth double-double of the season, giving her the lead in the Summit League. She scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Freshman guard Elena Popkey finished the game with a career-high 23 points.
