This past Monday, Meadow Brook Hall was recognized by the National Park Service as a national landmark. Meadow Brook Hall, considered one of the finest Tudor Revival houses in the U.S., was named a national landmark because of its outstanding, grand-scale architecture and the design of the building.

Creator of TOMS shoes to visit campus

With the drive to help needy children, Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS shoes, has given shoes to children in 28 countries. Oakland University’s Student Program Board will welcome Blake Mycoskie on April 5 as part of their Student Life Lecture Board series.

Recent theft from Chartwells inside Pioneer Food Court

Fowl play has been reported at Chartwells in the last few weeks. On Jan. 31 and Feb. 13, there were two reported incidents of theft that occurred in the Pioneer Food Court.

Parking citations remain high

Deep into the winter semester, the issue of parking is still rearing it’s rowdy head. Last semester, 1,131 citation violations were issued and just last month, a total of 506 citations were issued thus far, according to information obtained from the Oakland University Police Department.
