On March 20, 2010, Malika Glover and Zakiya Minifee celebrated East Lansing High School’s 65-54 victory in the Class A state championship. Just 10 months later, the two high school teammates are in search of a different kind of championship — a Summit League championship as members of the Oakland University basketball team.

Student Congress welcomes new legislative affairs director

Oakland Univeristy’s Student Congress met for the first time in the winter semester on Monday afternoon. Items on the agenda included approval of new committee members, statements of student concern and the Student Association of Michigan conference. Ben Eveslage was approved as the new legislative affairs director, replacing Nessma Bashi, who resigned in December.
