Shortly after the new year begins, construction for the Engineering Center will take place north of Parking Lot 36. Oakland University has created traffic and parking regulations to accommodate the construction. constructionparking

A construction fence will be set south of Kresge Library and the northern portion of P36, according to OU’s website. This fence will run east near Elliott Hall, north along the pedestrian walkway in that area and then west back to Kresge Library.

There will be a pedestrian walkway marked along the southern fence of the construction zone.

The Library Drive entrance and P38 will be closed at times to accommodate campus commuters and construction vehicles, according to OU’s website. A one way entrance and exit lanes will be built from Meadow Brook Road to the northwestern corner of P38. The pedestrian access form P38 to Dodge Hall, Kresge Library and Elliott Hall will remain.

I am so glad I will not be on campus anymore once they add a new building that will take up half of a parking lot that already services 6 major buildings. Good luck everybody…
