Second AP institute

OU will sponsor the second session of the AP Institute from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 30. The program offers training for high school teachers who are interested in teaching advanced placement courses. Course tuition costs $575. Moodle workshop

Kresge Library will  present the first portion of the Moodle workshop to faculty and staff on July 31 from 3p.m. to 4 p.m. The program will have a total of five  sessions, each covering the different elements of Moodle and how to manage the site. For more information, call 248-370-4566.

Volunteers for campus organic farm

The Campus Student Organic Farm is looking for volunteers. Open volunteer hours are every Wednesday and Thursday until the end of September from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, contact Danielle at 248-830-4969 or send  an email to dmbockar@oakland.edu.

Transfer student orientation

The Oakland Center will hold the second portion of this year’s Transfer Student Orientation from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 2. During this event, students will  meet with an academic adviser  to create plans for study as well as register for classes.
