OUPD searches for man who pulled knife on students

A campus alert was issued this morning by the Oakland University Police Department after it was reported that an unknown man pulled a knife on a group of students after they asked him to leave a party at the 3000 Ann V. Nicholson apartments around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to the alert, the assault happened outside of the complex. No one was hurt in the incident.

A flier on all of the entrances to the apartment builings describes the suspect as a white male, approximately five feet, eight inches tall, around 20-25-years-old with a shaved head. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and black gloves and was last seen on westbound Walton Boulevard on foot.

OUPD asks that anyone with any information on the incident to report it by calling 248-370-3331.

UPDATE: According to another report, the suspect has been interviewed and released by OUPD, who is hoping to obtain an arrest warrant today.
