Mary Beth Snyder, Oakland University’s vice president for student affairs, will be the recipient of the “Pillar of the Profession Award.”
It is awarded by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators Foundation.
The NAPSA gives this award annually to people who have been leaders and teachers in higher education along with student affairs.
Snyder was chosen for this award for representing NAPSA’s core values, which include integrity, access and service.
Their peers, students and others choose winners of this award.
In addition, a gift of $2,000 is sent to NAPSA in an effort to expand research and scholarship in student affairs.
