To raise money for the people of Haiti affected by last week’s earthquake, WXOU is hosting an all-day benefit concert Wednesday. Live bands will be performing at “Haiti-palooza!” from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the Pioneer Food Court in the Oakland Center.

There will be a table accepting donations. All money raised will be donated to the American/International Red Cross, The Salvation Army, Doctors without Borders, and Partners in Health. Chartwells will also be serving a lunch special with all proceeds going towards the relief effort.

You do not need to be an Oakland University student to attend the festivities and if you cannot make it in person, you can still listen by tuning into 88.3 FM or online at wxou.org or on iTunes under college radio. Jean Ann Miller, director of the Center for Student Activities and leadership development, is encouraging all students to “wear OU” to reflect campus unity.
