OU men to host Kent State Tuesday, women await Dayton
Coming off a disappointing loss in the Summit League Tournament Championship last Tuesday, the Oakland University Men’s Basketball team has something to prepare for again as they’ve been selected to the first ever CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament.
Oakland (22-12) will host a 7 p.m. game at the Athletics Center O’Rena on Tuesday, March 17th against Kent State University (19-14).
The Golden Grizzlies are coming off arguably their best season in school history and will have a chance to cap it off with a postseason championship. The tournament consists of four rounds and 16 teams competing in single elimination games.

Meanwhile, OU’s women’s basketball team (26-6) will begin its postseason play on Thursday after being selected to the Women’s National Invitational Tournament. Their opening round game will also take place at home in the friendly confines of the campus O’Rena against Dayton (20-13). Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The winner of this matchup will advance to the second round to face the University of Indiana in Bloomington, Ind.
